field3d-bin software package provides command-line tools for the Field3D library, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install field3d-bin
field3d-bin is installed in your system.
Make ensure the field3d-bin package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep field3d-bin *
You will get with field3d-bin package name, version, architecture and description in a table
